A Message From Our Director

Welcome back skaters and families! We are so delighted to see many of you in The Rinks and Great Park Ice.  The Figure Skating Department has been working diligently to provide Skating Camps for all levels of skaters, and that includes our wonderful Learn to Skate levels! We offer Freestyle Camps, Learn To Skate Camps, Test Camps, Exhibition Camps and more!

Failure to comply with guidelines will result in loss of skating & coaching privileges

Camps & Private Session Guidelines

  • Prepare your belongings in advance and keep them in your skating bag at all times.
    • Each skater will be allowed ONE skating bag only. NO personal bags/belongings allowed on the ice or on the ‘rink-barrier’ at this time. Water bottles, tissues, cell phones, music, etc. must be kept in your skating bag.
    • Bring disinfecting wipes, disposable gloves, masks, and a bag for personal trash as needed.
  • Skaters must arrive dressed to skate before entering the facility.
    • If possible, skates should be put on before entering the building.
    • All warm-up must be done outside before entering the building.
    • Please refrain from loitering or socializing inside the building.
  • Coaches and Skaters (and 1 Chaperone per minor) will be allowed into the building 15 minutes before their session to prepare/tie skates as needed.
  • EVERYONE must practice social distancing, wear protective gear, and maintain a hygienic environment. Please follow ALL instructions, procedures, traffic flow maps, and await your turn in prep areas.
    • All Coaches, Skaters and Chaperones must wear masks at all times in the building.
      • Masks are MANDATORY AT ALL TIMES, even when practicing on the ice. 
      • Session stickers must be worn and visible at all times
    • Chaperones may view from designated areas as indicated or wait outside.
      • The rest of the building (including Locker Rooms and Coaches Room) are off-limits.
      • Only bathrooms on the first floor will be open.
    • Coaches may teach in the players box or on the ice but must always observe social distancing.
    • Skaters should not go past the ‘6-foot line’ when approaching players box area for instruction.
  • At the conclusion of your session, Coaches, Skater and Chaperone will have 15 minutes to pack up (remove skates) and exit the building quickly, even if you are booked on the next session.
  • Maximum Occupancy: 8 coaches maximum. 22 skaters 1 chaperone per minor skater.

Coach & Skater Procedures & Guidelines

Skating Registration Process:

All coaches & skaters taking part in any camps at The Rinks or Great Park Ice will need to have an online Dash customer account

Online Pre-Registration

All coaches and skaters must pre-register for specific camps & pay online in advance to session stipulations or lose their place

  • Once a participant is registered for a session there will be NO REFUNDS & NO TRANSFERS
  • Parents (or adult participants) must digitally sign a Health Declaration on behalf of the participant before being allowed to enter the facility. This declaration must be re-signed every day of participation


All coaches & skaters must check-in on-site, receive their admission sticker for the session prior to entering the ice surface, and follow all policies and procedures outlined by each facility. 

  • Admission stickers must always be worn by the participant in a visible place during the session. 
    • Leads/front line staff will be checking that all skaters are wearing a sticker and coaches' & skaters' names are on the approved Freestyle Camp roster
    • Skaters without a sticker (not on roster) will be removed IMMEDIATELY and asked to register online and pay for the session before entering the ice, space permitting. 
    • Failure to comply with these guidelines will result in loss of skating & coaching privileges

We are closely monitoring government, state and local policy changes, centers for disease control (cdc) guidelines, government mandates, and public health advancements and will continue to make any necessary changes that will be appropriate to our protocols and procedures.
